Why realistic baby dolls Buckle Every Other Toy Trend

A strange truth about recessions is that kids toys such as baby dolls become more popular than ever. Classic toys become more valuable because parents know they last longer, and will not fizzle like the latest TV toy fad. This is especially true for baby dolls, which remain the #1 girls toy. However, today’s baby dolls are unique in many ways compared to the cloth baby dolls from a generation ago.

One of the interesting features of contemporary realistic baby dolls is that they look like real babies! These “realistic” baby dolls are so lifelike that there are several cases of police breaking into parked cars to save the “baby” from suffocation. Soft baby dolls are also popular because they are as cuddily as a real baby. Girls literally can’t go without their baby to take care of; this is a common behavior noted by psychologists and parents. This fact alone accounts for the constant popularity of baby dolls; even during a recession, parents will buy a doll for their daughter because of its valuable relaxing function.

Today’s lifelike dolls are no exception to this trend, even though realistic dolls were primarily created to coach young mothers how to care for an infant. Now I only wonder if the surge of realistic baby doll popularity will bring the price down due to present economic conditions.
